Thing 8 Zotero and LibX

I did quite like this in the LibX tool bar that allowed higlight - drag and drop onto a Google scholar button

Zotero
Well having had a bit of a play around with it, it seems to do a lot of things. Without a bit more time to test them out it's hard to say whether the things are being done well or not.

Would students use it? Would you promote it as an alternative to EndNote? I imagine with time and skill it could be very handy if it wasn't locked to one PC.

Here's what happens when you just don't get it all a searh for

Actually what I'd really like if something that stopped me navigating away from pages tabs that I really want to keep open - sort of a lock tab function.

Also I would like a permanent notepad - I use notepad for lots of bits of text but I'm sure there is better.

Gosh this post is a really dog's breakfast. But that's want you get for being interrrupted!

You need Evernote

I <3 it. You can keep notes, images, all the sorts of things that usually end up on scrap paper or post it notes on your wall ... and it will sync between your PC and the web version so you can work online and offline.

It also searches images for text, so if you scribble "I am converted, I love image generators" on a napkin, upload the image and then do a text search on "generators" ..it will find it.

So spooky and so convenient...
