Here's a question. How many of our library web pages use images? Not counting the banner my guess would be about 1% if that. Put another way what is the proportion of text to image? Very low? Why?
Now don't get me wrong love images and taking photos and would rather show a series of images as a user education exercise that show a single word or even speak. But...
Perhaps they serve another purpose. Perhaps they fulfill a social need.
